Vehicle production has decreased by 29% within the first 8 months of 2020

RusAutoNewsCom.- Vehicle production in Russia has been decreased by 28.7% year-on-year within the first eight months of 2020. According to ASM Holding data 803,306 units transport vehicles (trucks, cars, buses) have been manufactured within the January-August period of 2020.

Passenger cars production has decreased by 29.8% year-on-year during the aforementioned period, to 708.3 thousand units. The output of foreign brand cars in Russia went down by 29.9% to 517 thousand vehicles.

Light commercial vehicle production has also declined in the same period, by 22.3% to 56.4 thousand units.

Trucks output, including light trucks, has fallen by 19.6% by the end of the first eight months of 2020, amounting to 76.1 thousand units. The output of foreign brand trucks in Russia has decreased by 24.2% to 13.7 thousand units.

Bus production, including microbuses, has decreased by 16.5% during the aforementioned period, to 19.2 thousand units. The output of foreign brand buses in Russia went up by 7.1% to 4.1 thousand units.
