Automobile production in Russia has declined by 1% in January 2019

RusAutoNewsCom.- Automobile production in Russia has declined by 1.1% year-on-year in January 2019. According to ASM Holding data 117,892 transport vehicles (passenger cars, commercial vehicles, buses) have been manufactured in the country.

Passenger car production has increased by 0.2% during the aforementioned period, with 112.6 thousand units. The output of foreign brand cars in Russia declined by 4.2% year-on-year to 83.5 thousand vehicles.

LCV production has also declined in the same period, by 13.7% to 3.8 thousand units.

Truck production, including light trucks, has declined by 20.2% in January 2019, amounting to 4.2 thousand units. The output of foreign brand trucks in Russia went down by 12.2% and amounted to 1.3 thousand units.

Bus production, including minibuses, has decreased by 29.1% during the aforementioned period, with 1.16 thousand units. The output of foreign brand buses in Russia has declined by 73.2% to 0.16 thousand vehicles.

As stated by Rosstat, industrial production in Russia has risen 1.1% in January 2019, compared to the same period of 2018.

As reported previously, automobile production in Russia has increased by 14% year-on-year in 2018 and amounted to 1.8 million units.
