AUTOMOBILE MARKET OF RUSSIA IN SEPTEMBER AND JANUARY-SEPTEMBER 2019

In September 2019, sales of new MOTOR VEHICLES in Russia, based on registration data, fell by 10.6% year-on-year to 138 593 vehicles. In the first nine months of 2019 the total sales were 1 258 502 vehicles, down 2.5% year-on-year, of which:

Passenger cars 122 065 units in September 2019, down 11.6% YOY; 1 112 535 units in January-September 2019, down 2.3% YOY.

Light commercial vehicles including light trucks (N1 category, without pickups) and minibuses (M2 category) 8 143 units in September 2019, down 3.3% YOY; 72 224 units in January-September 2019, down 4.7% YOY.

Pickups 1 094 units in September 2019, down 6.7% YOY; 9 552 units in January-September 2019, down 6.0% YOY.

Trucks (except N1 category), inclusive of special-purpose vehicles, 5 945 units in September 2019, down 5.9% YOY; 53 722 units in January-September 2019, down 4.1% YOY.

Buses (except 2 category) 1 346 units in September 2019, up 36.1% YOY; 10 469 units in January-September 2019, up 6.8% YOY.
