In January 2019 sales of new MOTOR VEHICLES in Russia, based on registration data, decreased by 2.1% to 106 121 vehicles, of which:

Passenger cars – 92 743 units, down 2.4% vs. January 2018.

Light commercial vehicles including light trucks (N1 category, without pickups) and minibuses (M2 category) – 6 578 units, down 0.4% vs. January 2018.

Pickups – 966 units, up 3.4% vs. January 2018.

Trucks (except N1 category) – 5 053 units, up 5.5% vs. January 2018.

Buses (except Ì2 category) – 781 units, down 25.6% vs. January 2018.

In February 2019 sales of new MOTOR VEHICLES in Russia, based on registration data, decreased by 1.3% year-on-year to 110 937 vehicles; in January-February 2019 the total sales were 217 058 vehicles, down 1.7% year-on-year, of which:

Passenger cars – 95 911 units in February, down -1.2% YOY; 188 654 units in January-February, down -1.8% YOY.

Light commercial vehicles including light trucks (N1 category, without pickups) and minibuses M2 category – 7 379 units in February, up 0.6% YOY; 13 957 units in January-February, up 0.1% YOY.

Pickups – 1 032 units in February, up 14.8% YOY; 1 998 units in January-February, up 9% YOY.

Trucks (except N1 category) – 5 553 units in February, down -4.4% YOY; 10 606 units in January-February, up 0.1% YOY.

Buses (except Ì2 category) – 1 062 units in February, down -14.5% YOY; 1 843 units in January-February, down -19.6% YOY.

Automobile production in Russia has declined by 1% in January 2019

RusAutoNewsCom.- Automobile production in Russia has declined by 1.1% year-on-year in January 2019. According to ASM Holding data 117,892 transport vehicles (passenger cars, commercial vehicles, buses) have been manufactured in the country.

Passenger car production has increased by 0.2% during the aforementioned period, with 112.6 thousand units. The output of foreign brand cars in Russia declined by 4.2% year-on-year to 83.5 thousand vehicles.

LCV production has also declined in the same period, by 13.7% to 3.8 thousand units.

Truck production, including light trucks, has declined by 20.2% in January 2019, amounting to 4.2 thousand units. The output of foreign brand trucks in Russia went down by 12.2% and amounted to 1.3 thousand units.

Car production in Russia up by 20% within the first four months of 2018

RusAutoNews.Com – Car production in Russia has increased by 19,8% year-on-year within the first four months of 2018. According to ASM Holding data, 566.397 units transport vehicles (trucks, cars, buses) have been manufactured in Russia within the January-April 2018 period.

Passenger cars production has increased by 21,5% y/y during the aforementioned period, with 510,0 thousand units. The production of foreign brand cars in Russia went up 19,5% to 375,8 thousand vehicles.

LCV production has also grown in the same period, by 5,6% to 34,4 thousand units.

Truck production, including light trucks, has risen by 6,0% within January-April period 2018, amounting to 45,1 thousand units. The output of foreign brand trucks in Russia went up 49,7% to 8,6 thousand units.

Bus production, including microbuses, has increased by 4,0% during the aforementioned period, with 11,3 thousand units. The output of foreign brand buses in Russia went up -9,9% to 2,8 thousand units.

As reported previously, car production in Russia has increased by 19% in 2017 and amounted to 1.551.293 units.

Automobile production has increased by 19% within the first eight months of 2017

According to ASM Holding data, 960.522 transport vehicles (trucks, cars, buses) have been manufactured in Russia within the January-August 2017 period, which is equivalent to a 19,5% year-on-year rise.

Passenger Car production has increased by 19,4% during the aforementioned period y/y, with 845,5 thousand units. The production of foreign brand cars in Russia went up 22,9% to 635 thousand vehicles.

LCV production has also grown in the same period, by 4,1% to 70,5 thousand units.

Truck production, including light trucks, has risen by 14,4% by the end of the first eight months of 2017, amounting to 90,7 thousand units. The production of foreign brand trucks in Russia went up 85,8% to 14,5 thousand units.

Bus production, including microbuses, has increased by 4,2% during the aforementioned period, with 24,6 thousand units. The production of foreign brand buses in Russia went up 3,3% to 6,3 thousand units.( http://rusautonews.com)

Bus wholesale deliveries in Russia down 17.4% in 2013

Bus wholesales fell 17.4% year on year to 57.4 thousand vehicles in January-December 2013, according to ASM Holding analysts. Sales of domestic-branded buses dominated the market with 37.7 thousand units sold and a 65.7% market share. The second biggest segment was sales of foreign-branded buses assembled in Russia with 12.1 thousand units sold and a 21.1% share. New imports were 7.3 thousand buses (12.7%), and used imports were only 261 buses with a 0.5% market share.

Russia’s bus output down 9.2% in 2013

Bus production (including minibuses and “work-team buses” on truck chassis) in Russia fell 9.2% year on year to 52.6 thousand units in twelve months of 2013, according to ASM Holding analysts. Of the total production figure, output of domestic models was 40.4 thousand vehicles (down 15.8%), while foreign-branded bus output rose 22.4% to 12.2 thousand units. Within the total production volume, output of minibuses fell by 12.2% to 29.1 thousand vehicles.

Truck wholesales in Russia down 15.2% in 2013

Truck wholesale deliveries were 305.2 thousand units in January-December 2013, down 15.2% on the year, according to ASM Holding analysts. Domestic-branded trucks took the biggest market share (158.5 thousand units; 51.9%). Sales of foreign-branded trucks assembled in Russia were 30.7 thousand units, or 10.1% of the market. New imports were 106.4 thousand trucks (34.9%), and used imports were 9.6 thousand trucks (3.1% of the market).

Russia’s truck output down 1.0% in 2013

Truck production (including chassis-cabs and light trucks) in Russia fell 1.0% year on year to 203.5 thousand units in twelve months of 2013, according to ASM Holding analysts. Out of the total production figure, domestic truck output was 172.7 thousand units (down 1.5%), and foreign-brand truck output was 30.8 thousand units (up 1.5%).

Car wholesales in Russia down 8.8% in 2013

Passenger car wholesales fell 8.8% year on year to 2,632.7 thousand units in January-December 2013, according to ASM Holding analysts. The total sales volume splits into the market segments as follows: domestic models – 500.0 thousand units (19.0% market share); locally assembled foreign models – 1,340.8 thousand units (50.9%); imported new foreign cars – 781.4 thousand units (29.7%); used imports – 10.5 thousand units (0.4% of the car market).

Russia’s car output down 2.6% in 2013

Passenger car production in Russia fell 2.6% year on year to 1,919.6 thousand units in January-December 2013, according to ASM Holding analysts. Of the total, output of domestic car models was down 17.2% to 530.2 thousand units, while foreign-brand car output rose 4.5% to 1,389.4 thousand units.

Russia’s wholesale automobile market down 9.7% in 2013

December was the tenth consecutive month of a decline on the Russian automobile market caused by the slowing economic growth. Cumulative wholesales of all type motor vehicles (cars, trucks and buses) fell 9.7% year on year to 2,995.3 thousand units in January-December 2013, according to ASM Holding analysts.

Total output of motor vehicles in Russia down 2.6% in 2013

Russia’s total production of motor vehicles (including passenger cars, trucks and buses) fell 2.6% year on year to 2,175.3 thousand units in January-December 2013, according to ASM Holding analysts’ data. A decline of production is reported through all sectors of the automotive industry.

Current forecast of vehicle production in Russia for 2013

Based on the manufacturers’ performance in January-November, ASM Holding analysts have corrected their Russia vehicle production forecast for the full year 2013. The current 2013 output forecast is as follows: passenger cars – 1,913,242 units (of them foreign models 1,358,113 units); trucks – 201,020 units (of them foreign models 30,053 units); buses – 54,728 units (of them foreign models 12,054 units). The forecast of car production lags behind the last five years’ best result (1,968,789 units in 2012) by 2.8%, while annual forecasts of truck and bus output yield to the best production results of 2008 by 20.8% and 18.3% respectively.

Bus wholesale deliveries in Russia down 16.5% in the first eleven months of 2013

Bus wholesales fell 16.5% year on year to 51.8 thousand vehicles in January-November 2013, according to ASM Holding analysts. Sales of domestic-branded buses dominated the market with 34.0 thousand units sold and a 65.6% market share. The second biggest segment was sales of foreign-branded buses assembled in Russia with 10.8 thousand units sold and a 20.9% share. New imports were 6.8 thousand buses (13.1%), and used imports were only 218 buses with a 0.4% market share.
