AUTOMOBILE MARKET OF RUSSIA IN AUGUST AND JANUARY-AUGUST 2019

In August 2019, sales of new MOTOR VEHICLES in Russia, based on registration data, rose by 1.6% year-on-year to 156 882 vehicles. In the first eight months of 2019 the total sales were 1 119 909 vehicles, down 1.4% year-on-year, of which:

• Passenger cars – 138 579 units in August 2019, up 0.9% YOY; 990 470 units in January-August 2019, down 1.1% YOY.

• Light commercial vehicles including light trucks (N1 category, without pickups) and minibuses (M2 category) –9 199 units in August 2019, up 6.3% YOY; 64 081 units in January-August 2019, down 4.9% YOY.

• Pickups – 1 176 units in August 2019, down 9.3% YOY; 8 458 units in January-August 2019, down 5.9% YOY.

• Trucks (except N1 category), inclusive of special-purpose vehicles, – 6 542 units in August 2019, up 5.6% YOY; 47 777 units in January-August 2019, down 3.9% YOY.

• Buses (except Μ2 category) – 1 386 units in August 2019, up 56.3% YOY; 9 123 units in January-August 2019, up 3.5% YOY.

In July 2019 sales of new MOTOR VEHICLES in Russia, based on registration data, rose by 11.4% year-on-year to 158 285 vehicles. In the first seven months of 2019 the total sales were 963 027 vehicles, down 1.9% year-on-year, of which:

• Passenger cars – 140 260 units in July 2019, up 11.9% YOY; 851 891 units in January-July 2019, down 1.4% YOY.

• Light commercial vehicles including light trucks (N1 category, without pickups) and minibuses (M2 category) –9 220 units in July 2019, up 8.4% YOY; 54 882 units in January-July 2019, down 6.5% YOY.

• Pickups – 1 166 units in July 2019, up 11.9% YOY; 7 282 units in January-July 2019, down 5.3% YOY.

• Trucks (except N1 category), inclusive of special-purpose vehicles, – 6 391 units in July 2019, up 1.7% YOY; 41 235 units in January-July 2019, down 5.2% YOY.

• Buses (except Μ2 category) – 1 248 units in July 2019, up 46.1% YOY; 7 737 units in January-July 2019, down 2.4% YOY.

Car production in Russia has increased by 1% within the first half of 2019

RusAutoNewsCom.- Car production in Russia has been increased within the first six months of 2019. According to ASM Holding data, 868,395 transport vehicles (trucks, cars, buses) have been manufactured within the first half of 2019, which is equivalent to a 1.0% year-on-year rise.

Passenger cars production has increased by 7.2% year-on-year during the aforementioned period and amounted to 783.9 thousand units. The output of foreign brand cars in Russia went down 0.1% to 569.3 thousand vehicles.

In June 2019 sales of new MOTOR VEHICLES in Russia, based on registration data, decreased by 1.6% year-on-year to 144 432 vehicles. In the first six months of 2019 the total sales were 804 742 vehicles, down 4.1% year-on-year, of which:

• Passenger cars – 128 639 units in June 2019, down 0.6% YOY; 711 631 units in January-June 2019, down 3.6% YOY.

• Light commercial vehicles including light trucks (N1 category, without pickups) and minibuses (M2 category) – 7 667 units in June 2019, down 11.3% YOY; 45 662 units in January-June 2019, down 9.1% YOY.

• Pickups – 1 033 units in June 2019, down 8.6% YOY; 6 116 units in January-May 2019, down 8.0% YOY.

• Trucks (except N1 category), inclusive of special-purpose vehicles, – 6 044 units in June 2019, down 9.1% YOY; 38 844 units in January-June 2019, down 6.4% YOY.

In May 2019 sales of new MOTOR VEHICLES in Russia, based on registration data, decreased by 18.3% year-on-year to 129 502 vehicles. In the first five months of 2019 the total sales were 660 310 vehicles, down 4.7% year-on-year, of which:

• Passenger cars – 115 720 units in May 2019, down 18.0% YOY; 582 992 units in January-May 2019, down 4.3% YOY.

In April 2019 sales of new MOTOR VEHICLES in Russia, based on registration data, increased by 1.1% year-on-year to 168 344 vehicles. In the first four months of 2019 the total sales were 530 808 vehicles, down 0.6% year-on-year, of which:

Automobile production in Russia has declined by 1% in January 2019

RusAutoNewsCom.- Automobile production in Russia has declined by 1.1% year-on-year in January 2019. According to ASM Holding data 117,892 transport vehicles (passenger cars, commercial vehicles, buses) have been manufactured in the country.

Passenger car production has increased by 0.2% during the aforementioned period, with 112.6 thousand units. The output of foreign brand cars in Russia declined by 4.2% year-on-year to 83.5 thousand vehicles.

LCV production has also declined in the same period, by 13.7% to 3.8 thousand units.

Truck production, including light trucks, has declined by 20.2% in January 2019, amounting to 4.2 thousand units. The output of foreign brand trucks in Russia went down by 12.2% and amounted to 1.3 thousand units.

Car production in Russia up by 20% within the first four months of 2018

RusAutoNews.Com – Car production in Russia has increased by 19,8% year-on-year within the first four months of 2018. According to ASM Holding data, 566.397 units transport vehicles (trucks, cars, buses) have been manufactured in Russia within the January-April 2018 period.

Passenger cars production has increased by 21,5% y/y during the aforementioned period, with 510,0 thousand units. The production of foreign brand cars in Russia went up 19,5% to 375,8 thousand vehicles.

LCV production has also grown in the same period, by 5,6% to 34,4 thousand units.

Truck production, including light trucks, has risen by 6,0% within January-April period 2018, amounting to 45,1 thousand units. The output of foreign brand trucks in Russia went up 49,7% to 8,6 thousand units.

Bus production, including microbuses, has increased by 4,0% during the aforementioned period, with 11,3 thousand units. The output of foreign brand buses in Russia went up -9,9% to 2,8 thousand units.

As reported previously, car production in Russia has increased by 19% in 2017 and amounted to 1.551.293 units.

Automobile production has increased by 19% within the first eight months of 2017

According to ASM Holding data, 960.522 transport vehicles (trucks, cars, buses) have been manufactured in Russia within the January-August 2017 period, which is equivalent to a 19,5% year-on-year rise.

Passenger Car production has increased by 19,4% during the aforementioned period y/y, with 845,5 thousand units. The production of foreign brand cars in Russia went up 22,9% to 635 thousand vehicles.

LCV production has also grown in the same period, by 4,1% to 70,5 thousand units.

Truck production, including light trucks, has risen by 14,4% by the end of the first eight months of 2017, amounting to 90,7 thousand units. The production of foreign brand trucks in Russia went up 85,8% to 14,5 thousand units.

Bus production, including microbuses, has increased by 4,2% during the aforementioned period, with 24,6 thousand units. The production of foreign brand buses in Russia went up 3,3% to 6,3 thousand units.( http://rusautonews.com)

Bus wholesale deliveries in Russia down 17.4% in 2013

Bus wholesales fell 17.4% year on year to 57.4 thousand vehicles in January-December 2013, according to ASM Holding analysts. Sales of domestic-branded buses dominated the market with 37.7 thousand units sold and a 65.7% market share. The second biggest segment was sales of foreign-branded buses assembled in Russia with 12.1 thousand units sold and a 21.1% share. New imports were 7.3 thousand buses (12.7%), and used imports were only 261 buses with a 0.5% market share.

Russia’s bus output down 9.2% in 2013

Bus production (including minibuses and “work-team buses” on truck chassis) in Russia fell 9.2% year on year to 52.6 thousand units in twelve months of 2013, according to ASM Holding analysts. Of the total production figure, output of domestic models was 40.4 thousand vehicles (down 15.8%), while foreign-branded bus output rose 22.4% to 12.2 thousand units. Within the total production volume, output of minibuses fell by 12.2% to 29.1 thousand vehicles.

Truck wholesales in Russia down 15.2% in 2013

Truck wholesale deliveries were 305.2 thousand units in January-December 2013, down 15.2% on the year, according to ASM Holding analysts. Domestic-branded trucks took the biggest market share (158.5 thousand units; 51.9%). Sales of foreign-branded trucks assembled in Russia were 30.7 thousand units, or 10.1% of the market. New imports were 106.4 thousand trucks (34.9%), and used imports were 9.6 thousand trucks (3.1% of the market).
